I'm in....

Well, I am pleased to say that after much hard work, determination, stress and waiting that I have finnally figured out what the next three or so years of my life is going to be like. Last Friday (Feb. 16th), I recieved a letter from Pacific University saying Congratulations! You have been accepted to the School of Pharmacy.

So..... YIPPEE!!!!! I got in!!!!!!

Ok, enough excitment. I am going to be class of 2010. Then I will be a Doctor of Pharmacy. PharmD as they say in the pharmacy lingo.
So my wife says "I will finally be married to a doctor... Dr. Wiedemann... Dr. and Mrs. Wiedemann.... I will be an 'and Mrs. Wiedemann'"
I said, "you are already an 'and Mrs. Wiedemann'"
"Oh, yeah" she says.
Then with a twinkle in her eye she says that She is sooo happy for me and
Wait, this isn't a novel....

sorry.

So... Pacific University is in Hillsboro, OR ( just about 45 min. west of Portland) and I start in September, so we will probably move a little closer to Hillsboro in Aug. The program is an excellerated Doctorate program that lasts three years and is year round. It will be difficult, but it will be an adventure.
Our adventure!

Newlywed News...

Well, now that we are back from Cancun, many people have been asking us how married life is treating us and what we have been up to, and Kat and I both have a lot of family who live out of town and who we would like to share our lives with....

So we decided to keep people up to date via the 21st century and write a blog. We will try to keep it up to date with things that happen in our life.

So with that in mind, please check back often, leave comments if you like and we will comment back when we can.

The things a husband learns.....

After getting married, a boy gets to learn a few things about living life with a girl. Some things come as a shock while others come as a plesant surprise. None to be expected though...
Case in point...

1. My stuff in no longer stuff, but Junk (with a capital J).

2. My area on the bed is only the left 1ft of bed and that my area is really just hypothetical so I should stop complaining... (She is a roamer and kicker... well she knees more than kicks.)

3. I get up later so that really means that I get to hear the alarm clock twice (or sometimes more depending on how many times we snooze).

4. Lunches being made for me is "the bomb!" (enough said)

5. My wife is always sick!!!! (she has been sick since the wedding, so I know that i said in sickness and in health, but i didn't know that I was going to have to start in sickness... none the less, i love her so I enjoy taking care of her)

6. Haveing the Flu means that she will have it soon after!

7. No matter how hard you try, no matter how meticulous you think you are, no matter how many hours are spent cleaning, the hair will never be ALL gone. It spontaneously appears when you turn your back just to spite you.

8. Walking around the house, Dremel in hand, looking for things to "fix" does not make a happy wife.

9. Having tools to put up a towel bar in the bathroom does make a happy wife! :)

10. Haveing tools to put in my tool box..... Priceless!
